Nestled in the heart of the stunning Matapédia Valley, Auberge Beauséjour is a hidden gem that offers a magical blend of comfort and relaxation in a picturesque setting. From the warm welcome drink to the charming vintage decor, this inn exudes a cozy ambiance that is perfect for a romantic escape. The room on the first floor was a delightful surprise with its two double beds, fully equipped kitchenette, and a cozy workspace that was ideal for editing my photographs. The tours and ticket assistance provided by the attentive staff made exploring the nearby Philomene waterfall and walking trails a breeze. The restaurant, inspired by local seasonal ingredients, offered a fresh and varied menu that truly captured the essence of the region. As a landscape photographer, I found myself charmed by the history and beauty of this century-old house, which was once owned by two forest businessmen turned mayors. The unique shower experience in the basement room, featuring a hinged door and warming red light, added a touch of luxury to my stay. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a food lover, or a history buff, Auberge Beauséjour promises a one-of-a-kind experience that will linger in your memories long after you've left.
